When you create an AI Agent in Autom Mate, the system automatically generates a supporting Autom flow behind the scenes. This flow handles how your agent runs and responds to events.
You can edit this flow. In fact, adding more actions or customizing its logic is often useful. However, there’s one important thing to keep in mind:
If you modify the Trigger Method or the overall flow structure, the AI Agent may no longer function correctly.
This doesn’t mean you can’t change anything — but certain structural changes can break the link between the agent and the Autom flow.
Best Practices
- Feel free to add new steps or actions to extend your agent’s capabilities.
- Avoid changing the Trigger Method unless you know how it impacts the agent.
- After any edits, test your agent again to confirm it still works as expected.
We’re working on better error handling and editor warnings for this in future versions. For now, a little caution goes a long way.
