Test a service deployment draft before routing live requests to it

Autom Mate Team · Practical example

A small development deployment helps you check the exact service package before it handles normal requests. Use an isolated example and make the target environment visible at every step.

  1. Choose the published service version and review the released Work Items it contains.
  2. Create a new deployment. Select the work in Scope, the Mate Agent and the input bindings required by that package.
  3. Review phase behavior and save Create draft. Check the package, version and Development environment shown on the saved draft.
  4. Test with POST to the generated development webhook URL, preserving its &dev flag and using the real input contract.
  5. Open the matching Service Case and compare its Context, Status, Result and action data with your expected outcome. Promote through Go live only after those checks pass.

Example: submit one fictional request reference and confirm the matching Case records the development package you intended.

Draft execution still runs configured work, so use test connections and harmless inputs. Opening the webhook in a browser sends GET and is not the supported trigger test. Keep generated URLs private.
